Attempts made to rape and kill me’, says Pori Moni

Actor Shamsunnahar Smrity, popularly known as Pori Moni, on Sunday claimed that attempts were made to rape and murder her recently.

Pori Moni posted the allegation on her verified Facebook page on 7:53pm on Sunday.

Making the allegation, she also sought justice from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

However, she did not mention the names of the perpetrators of the alleged crimes.

“I have been physically abused. Someone tried to rape and kill me. I want justice,” she wrote on her Facebook page.

Pori Moni claimed that although the incident took place about four days ago, nobody from the law enforcement agency came to her help.

She pleaded to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to intervene and serve her justice.

She said a press conference will be convened soon to share the details with the public.

Pori Moni has recently been included in Forbes list of ‘Asia-Pacific’s Most Influential Celebrities’ on Social Media.

The actor starred in hits like Pagla Deewana, Aro Bhalobashbo Tomay, Lover Number 1, Nagar Mastaan, Mohua Shundori, Amar Mon Jure Tui, Innocent Love, Surprize, Probashi Don, and Bhalobashar Onek Jala. She had been a regular star in television dramas before debuting with Rana Plaza film.
