Australia win knife-edge fifth India Test, regain BGT for first time since 2014-15

Australia clinched a knife-edge fifth Test against India in Sydney by six wickets to seal a riveting series 3-1 Sunday and book their place in the World Test Championship final.

After India were dismissed for 157 before lunch on day three to set the hosts a 162-run victory target, they reached it for the loss of four wickets.

The series ends 3-1 in Australia’s favour, and the home side regain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) for the first time since 2014-15.
