The sequels to James Cameron’s Avatar are highly anticipated. Since its beginnings, the filmmakers have vowed not to reveal any details about the sequels’ plots and have remained tight-lipped. However, word on the street is that the first look at the epic opus will be presented today (Wednesday) at CinemaCon.
The sequel to the sci-fi franchise will be released on December 16, over thirteen years after the original was released.
According to THR, the first video from his four planned sequels, which will feature some larger-than-life visuals, will be revealed at CinemaCon today. The competition is presently taking place in Las Vegas. Although the length of the Avatar 2 footage to be presented to CinemaCon attendees is unknown, the event showcased the first 15 minutes or so of Brad Pitt’s Bullet Train and Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, implying that the same will be true for Avatar 2. The descriptions of the footage will be released immediately after the event, according to reports.
Steven Weintraub, the editor-in-chief of Collider, recently claimed on Twitter that the film’s trailer could appear during the third day of CinemaCon 2022, as part of Disney’s long-awaited showcase. “Now 100000% sure the first #avatar 2 footage will be shown at #CinemaCon. What I can’t figure out is if it’s the trailer or 15 to 20 min of footage. Will know Wednesday. Remember never, ever bet against @JimCameron Cannot wait to see how he’s using technology to tell story,” he wrote.
