Banani Siddik Munsi muder: Prime accused arrested

Detectives in a drive arrested the main accused of businessman Siddik Hossen Munsi murder case who was shot dead in capital’s Banani area.

The arrestee is Nur Amin alias Nuri, 27, the main accused of the murder.

Confirming the information, Detective Branch (DB) Additional Deputy Commissioner Golam Saklayen said: “We have been tracing Nuri since we got the video footage of the murder. However, we have managed to capture the criminal last night from capital’s Badda area.”

The video footage of the murder which went viral on social networking tools shows that a total of seven criminals committed the murder.

Of the seven criminals, four were killed in the separate incidents of “gunfight” while two others are in the prison.

Earlier on October14, 2017, four criminals, aged between 25 and 30, entered into the office of Siddik Hossen Munshi and shot him to death.

Jotsna Begum, the wife of the deceased filed a case in this connection with Banani Police Station on October 15.
