Bangladesh beat West Indies by 5 wickets in the first ODI at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur on Sunday to take 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Bangladesh chased down the 196-run target in just 35.1 overs with five wickets in hand, thanks to the brilliant unbeaten fifty by Mushfiqur Raham (55*).
Liton Das scored 41 runs while Shakib Al Hasan made 30 runs in just 26 balls.
Earlier, West Indies made 195 runs in 50 overs.
Bangladesh captain Mushrafe Mortaza and Mustafizur Rahman picked up three wickets each.
Shai Hope was the best of the West Indies batsmen scoring 43 while Keemo Paul made 36 runs.
Mushrafe Mortaza was named as Man of of the Match for his excellent bowling.
