Bangladesh monitoring Russia-Ukraine war: Cabinet secy

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam has said Bangladesh is observing the situation in Ukraine as the Russian military campaign rolls into the fifth day.

“The issue was discussed in the Cabinet meeting today. We are observing the developments of the Russia-Ukraine war, definitely we did not talk in favour of the war. The foreign ministry and everyone have been directed to observe the situation for one or two days.”

Cabinet Secretary told this after the weekly cabinet meeting on Monday.

“The ambassadors in Poland and Romania are constantly updating us,” Khandker Anwarul Islam added.
