Bangladesh win the series 3-0 against Zimbabwe

Bangladesh complete a comfortable win by seven wickets with 7.5 overs remaining, winning the series 3-0 against Zimbabwe in Chattogram.

Left-handed Soumya Sarkar has gained another milestone of slamming second ODI hundred against Zimbabwe at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Cricket Stadium.

Sarkar scored 117 runs off 99 balls smashing 9 boundaries and 6 sixes, putting Bangladesh in the driver’s seat against the visitors.

Bangladesh’s Imrul Kayes has also hit his second century in this ODI series. He bagged 115 runs off 112 crashing 10 boundaries with 2 sixes.

He also scored a brilliant 144 in the opener and came up with a 90 in the second match of the three-match ODI series against the visitors.

With Williams ton, Zimbabwe managed to score 286 runs losing five wickets against the home side when Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza kept the foot on the accelerator for the big total after Taylor.

Zimbabwe recovered after losing their openers cheaply in the dead rubber but Williams held the steering with 129 runs off 143 smashing 10 fours and 1 six.

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza won the toss and asked Zimbabwe to bat first in the third game of the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Cricket Stadium in Chattogram.

In today’s play, both teams have made changes. Bangladesh have replaced Fazle Mahmud, Mehidy Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman with Ariful Haque, the debutant, Abu Hider and Soumya Sarkar.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand, also made two changes in their team. Tendai Chatara and Brandon Mavuta have been replaced by Richard Ngarava and Wellington Masakadza.
