Bangladeshis can come to the country from India three days a week using government-approved land ports during the lockdown period, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
DGHS spokesperson Dr Nazmul Islam made the comment in a health bulletin on Sunday.
He said, “People will be able to come to the country using land ports on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday in a week till July 14. A large number of Bangladeshi citizens travel to neighbouring India and other countries for medical and other reasons. Many of them enter Bangladesh through land ports following the rules and regulations of the government.”
“A decision has been taken from our deputy-high commission in Kolkata that citizens residing in India can enter Bangladesh through approved land ports: Benapole, Akhaura, Burimari, Hili, Darshana and Sonamasjid.”
