Basundhara MD not involved in Munia’s suicide:Police

Bashundhara Group managing director Sayem Sobhan Anvir was not involved in the suicide of Mosarat Jahan Munia, said police in its recently submitted report to the court.
Police submitted the final report on July 19 in the case filed against Sayem Sobhan Anvir on charge of the abetment of the suicide of Mosarat Jahan Munia.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Gulshan division deputy commissioner Sudeep Kumar Chakrabarty confirmed the information.
In a message, he said that the police submitted the final report to the court on July 19 relieving Anvir.
Earlier on April 26, college student Mosarat Jahan Munia was found hanging inside her rented flat in Gulshan.
Nusrat Jahan, sister of Mosarat, filed the case with Gulshan Police Station on April 27 against Sayem Sobhan Anvir on charge of abetting the reported suicide after police had recovered the body from the flat.
