BNP leader Moudud Ahmed’s health condition deteriorates

The health condition of ailing BNP standing committee Member and former minister Barrister Moudud Ahmed has deteriorated.
A six-member medical board headed by Prof Dr Shahabuddin Talukder reviewed his condition at 2:00pm on Tuesday and said Moudud Ahmed’s condition deteriorated, said Shairul Kabir Khan, media wing member of the party chairperson.
The medical board apprised Moudud’s wife Hasna Jasimuddin Moudud and Dr AZM Zahid Hossain about the BNP leader’s health condition.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir spoke also with the head of the medical board and enquired about Moudud’s health condition.
Earlier on December 29, the veteran leader was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital with serious weakness as his haemoglobin level dropped. He had been undergoing treatment at the hospital’s Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
Shairul Kabir Khan said that the physical condition of the former prime minister deteriorated further. He requested everyone to pray for Moudud Ahmed’s quick recovery.
