Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito to play Professor X?

Breaking Bad actor, Giancarlo Esposito has seemingly confirmed his role as Professor Charles Xavier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Earlier on, Giancarlo confirmed that he had met with Marvel executives regarding the possible affiliation.
Recently, the actor made an appearance at Comic Con Chile 2022, where a fan asked him to sign a Funko Pop figure of Professor X. Giancarlo seemed really delighted by the gesture and replied to the fan saying, “See you on the big screen”.
Fans of Giancarlo are interpreting it as confirmation that he will be playing the powerful telepath in the MCU.
Previously, Patrick Stewart had played the role of Professor X, while James McAvoy played the younger version of the character. Stewart also made a cameo appearance in this year’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. The veteran actor had stated that this was a one-off appearance and it was unlikely that he would reprise the role in the future.
