The members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) have allegedly hacked a Bangladeshi cowboy on Monohorpur border of Chapainawabganj’s Shibganj upazila.
The victim is Abu Taher, son of Abdul Khalek, of Shibganj’s Paka union.
According to family members, a group of BSF jawans of Nimtita camp stopped Taher around 10 pm on Thursday night while he was returning home from India with cattle.
The BSF members swooped on him and hacked him, leaving him severely injured.
Border Guard Bangladesh-53 Commander Lt Col Sazzad Sarwar said: “BGB members rescued him and admitted to Shibganj Health Complex. Later, he was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.”
“We rescued him in critical condition but we cannot say the details right now,” he added.
