‘CID 2’ release date announced
After Sony TV confirmed that “CID” would return to television after six years, fans couldn’t hold their excitement. The production team has begun filming, and the makers have revealed the premiere date for “CID” Season 2.
“CID 2” will air on December 21, 2024, on Sony Entertainment Television, keeping the familiar 10pm time slot ( Bangladesh time 10:30pm). However, unlike the previous season, which aired on Fridays, this new series will now be shown on weekends, adjusting its schedule while maintaining its classic late-night time.
Yesterday, the channel’s official Instagram account released a promotional video, announcing the premiere date and time slot for “CID” Season 2. The caption stated, “No matter how many doors the criminal locks, they won’t escape Daya! Watch ‘CID’ from December 21, every Saturday to Sunday at 10pm, only on Sony Entertainment Television.”
The video clip featured Dayanand Shetty returning to his iconic role as Inspector Daya, performing thrilling stunts and making a dramatic entrance. It concludes with a voiceover from ACP Pradyuman delivering the famous line, “Daya darwaza tod!” (Daya, break down the door).
