Cocktail’s Veronica impacted Deepika Padukone ‘personally’; says, ‘I’ve always believed that…’

Deepika Padukone is one of the most talented actresses that the industry has ever seen! The actress played several challenging roles. Starting from Cocktail’s Veronica to Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’s Naina to Bajirao Mastani‘s Mastani – she left her mark everywhere.

Today, her movie Cocktail completed 10 years and on that occasion, Deepika shared her thoughts about the movie. The role wasn’t easy for her. She got the role of ‘Meera’ but she chose ‘Veronica’ because she felt that Meera’s role was very similar to her role in Love Aaj Kal.

Veronica was opposite to what Deepika was but still, Deepika took the challenge and this changed her acting career. She got the boost to act in different shades of characters.

The actress went on a trip down memory lane. She said as reported by Indian Express, “I’ve always believed that while you put a little part of yourself in every character you play, you also carry a part of that character with you forever. And therefore, Veronica will always be one of the most special characters I’ve played on screen; one that changed a lot for me professionally and impacted me personally.”
