COVID in Bangladesh: 656 positive cases, 8 deaths in 24hrs

Bangladesh’s coronavirus infection number rose to 5,29,687 on Wednesday after detecting 656 more positive cases in last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths have decreased as eight virus patients died during this time. This is the lowest daily count since May 8.

The country’s death toll now stands at 7,950.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, this afternoon.

Some 617 more corona patients were declared free from the virus, raising the total recovered number to 4,74,472.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
