Damaged Mogbazar building may collapse at any time: Fire Service

The three-storey building, damaged by explosion at Moghbazar on Sunday evening, may collapse at any time, fire service and civil defence experts said on Monday.
“The building has become unusable,” director (operation) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Lt Col Zillur Rahman told reporters after visiting the spot.
In response to a question, he said the owner of the building have to decide whether he would demolish it completely, because it cannot be used in any way by reforming.”
The official further said that no one should enter the building for his own safety.
Lt. Col. Zillur Rahman, head of the fire service’s probe committee, said, “Our people are gathering evidence from the rubble of the building. They are also taking information from eyewitnesses, injured people and business owners of the building.”
Earlier, eight people were killed and more than 50 others were injured in the blast that took place at Moghbazar around 7:30pm Sunday evening.
