Dibya Jyoti, Tanzika Amin win Best Supporting awards

The Popular category of the “Blender’s Choice The Daily Star OTT and Digital Content Awards 2023” witnessed stellar recognition for Dibya Jyoti and Tanzika Amin for their remarkable performances in “Mohanagar 2”.

The much-anticipated third edition of “Blender’s Choice The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2023” unfolded today evening at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) to celebrate excellence in the digital entertainment industry.

Dibya Jyoti bagged the Best Supporting Actor (Male) award, while Tanzika Amin secured the Best Supporting Actor (Female) accolade for their exceptional portrayals in Ashfaque Nipun’s gripping cop-crime thriller.

Dibya’s award was a heartfelt moment as it was presented by none other than his parents, celebrated playwright and actor Brindabon Das and renowned actress Shahnaz Khushi.

The second season of “Mohanagar” delves into the high-stakes investigation surrounding OC Harun Ur Rashid, portrayed by Mosharraf Karim. The series also features Fazlur Rahman Babu in a compelling role as the investigator. As the tension escalates, the subplot of Afnan Chowdhury, played by Shamol Mawla, adds further intrigue to the story’s layered narrative.

Other contenders for the Best Supporting (Male) category were Abu Hurayra Tanvir nominated for “Buker Moddhye Agun”, FS Nayeem for “Overtrump”, Partho Sheikh for “Odrisshyo”, and Shashwta Datta for “Punormilone”. On the other hand, nominees for the Best Supporting (Female) award were Bijori Barkatullah for “The Silence”, Makhnun Sultana Mahima for “Nikosh”, Mousumi Hamid for “Guti”, and Shilpi Sarkar Apu for “Mobaroknama”.
