Director appointed for Bashundhara corona hospital

One director and two deputy directors have been appointed to operate the country’s largest hospital for coronavirus patients at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
The hospital is fully ready to provide health services for Covid-19 patients and will start its activities from May 4 as per schedule.
Confirming the matter, ICCB Chief Operating Officer MM Jasim Uddin in a regular briefing on Friday told media that the launching of the isolation centre for Covid-19 patients at International Convention Centre, Bashundhara (ICCB) will be held in due time.
He also hoped that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina likely to inaugurate the hospital.
“We hope Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the hospital through videoconference,” he said.
Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest business conglomerate, has come forward to establish the makeshift hospital for treating coronavirus patients.
The ICCB will be used as hospital for the time being and it will return to its previous shape once the crisis is over.
The officials of the Health Engineering Department of the government and Bashundhara Group have been working ceaselessly to materialise the dream project.
