Eight killed in Kyiv strikes

At least eight people were killed by Russian strikes on several houses and a shopping centre in Kyiv carried out late on Sunday evening, the Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office has said.

Ukraine’s emergency services had earlier put the death toll from the attack in the capital’s Podilskyi district at four people, Al Jazeera reports.

Pictures and videos from the site of the strike on the Retroville mall, located on the north-western outskirts of the city, showed it lying in smouldering ruins.
