Fire catches at Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camp

At least 14 shops were gutted as a fire broke out at Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Ukhia Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district early Sunday.

Md Emdadul Haque, station officer of Ukhia Fire Service Station, confirmed the news.

He said: “The fire broke out at 4 am when people in the community were having their Sheri. Being informed, two fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.”

“We are trying to figure out the cause behind the fire”, he added.
