First look poster of Atharvaa Murali’s Kuruthi Aattam out

The first look of Atharvaa Murali’s Kuruthi Aattam was released on social media today. This upcoming action thriller is directed by Sri Ganesh who made his debut in Tamil cinema with 8 Thottakkal. Priya Bhavani Shankar is playing the lead role opposite Atharvaa, while Divyadarshini, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi play crucial roles.

While sharing the first look of Kuruthi Aattam, director Sri Ganesh wrote,”#KuruthiAattamFirstLook is here!!! Thanks to all the people involved in the film, good souls who supported the film and to the audience, for all the support till now!! @Atharvaamurali @priya_Bshankar @thisisysr @Rockfortent @FiveStarAudioIn @kbsriram16 @DoneChannel1(Sic).”

By the looks of the poster, the film seems to be an action film. The shooting of the film wrapped up earlier this year and it was supposed to hit screens in June. But, it was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Kuruthi Aattam first look

Recently, Atharvaa also completed the dubbing for his portions in the film. The action-packed film has been produced by T Muruganantham under the banner of Rockfort Entertainment and this is the company’s first production venture. The music of the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography is by Balasubramaniem and Anil Krish of Penguin fame is handling the edit for the film.

The makers have already announced that the teaser of Kuruthi Aattam will release on release on December 11. Kuruthi Aattam’s story will revolve around the lives of gangsters based in Madurai.

On the work front, Atharvaa is a part of multiple projects like Thalli Pogathey, Othaikku Othai and Rukkumani Vandi Varuthu. On the other hand, Priya Bhavani Shankar has a number of projects in her kitty including Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s magnum opus Indian 2, SJ Suryah’s Bommai, Jiiva and Arulnithi starrer action drama, Kalathil Santhippom, Kasada Thapara, Vaan and Pelli Choopulu. She is also part of the film Oh Mana Penne along with Harish Kalyan and directed by debutant Karthik Sundar.
