Flight operations suspended for 7 more days

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has decided to continue the suspension of all domestic and international flights for seven more days  as the government extended the ongoing by a week lockdown to contain the spread of deadly Covid-19.
The CAAB issued a notice in this regard on Monday.
“Operations of all domestic and international flights will remain suspended from 12.01 midnight on April 20 to 11:59pm on April 28 in line with government decision of strict lockdown,” the notice said.

But, cargo plane, special/chartered flight, air ambulance can be run with permission.

Besides, the special flights for carrying the expatriate passengers will remain in operation as usual.

Earlier on April 14, the CAAB had suspend all domestic and international flights for a week responding to the government decision for a complete lockdown in the wake of rapid transmission of coronavirus.

“Though the domestic and international flights will remain suspended for a week, cargo flights will remain in operation as usual,” said CAAB chairman Air-Vice Marshal M Mofidur Rahman.
