Former band vocalist ‘commits suicide’ in Chattogram

A former vocalist of a band and executive member of Chattogram Krira Sangstha allegedly took his own life at Badar Aulia Mazar area of Chattogram early today.
The deceased was identified as Md Abdul Baset, son of former ward commissioner SM Abdul Hamid, and a former vocalist of ‘Spark’ band.
Confirming the news, Sheikh Khalid, sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station, said police recovered Baset’s body from his office adjoining his house around 2:20am.
The SI said they are suspecting that Abdul Baset killed himself because of depression caused by family feud and business-related issues.
