GBNEWS24DESK//
Jatiya Party chairman and deputy leader of the Opposition in parliament GM Quader has said according to the government, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) has increased. But the people don’t want to know how much the GDP has increased. GDP cannot meet their hunger. So, the ultimate result is a big zero.
He was speaking at a function organised at Jatiya Party chairman’s Banani office in the capital on Tuesday on the occasion of joining of businessman Maj (Retd) Md Mahfuzur Rahman to Jatiya Party.
GM Quader observed that there is no rule of law and security of people in the country. In many cases, lack of justice is seen. Accidents have become a normal part of life. People will die due to collision between train and bus. It has become normal. Mega projects means mega expenditures. One year’s work continue for three years. Tk 300 crore will be spent in place of Tk 100 crore. Common people will suffer for three years in place of one year.
The Jatiya Party leader said there is no employment in the country. Unemployment is rising. Taxes have increased in all the fields, but income of people has not increased. As a result, common people’s lives have become miserable due to skyrocketing of daily essentials.
GM Quader said BNP will maintain the continuity what Awami League has done to the country since 1991. The country and people will not be benefited. Country’s people want to get rid of both Awami League and BNP. Country’s people want to see Jatiya Party in power as an alternative force. They know that there is no alternative to Jatiya Party to free them from corruption, misrule, looting and discrimination.
