These are trying times for the world. This time, last year, all of us were busy making plans about going out or heading off to a weekend getaway with friends. Cut to this year, words like ‘social distancing’, ‘quarantine’, ‘isolation’ have taken over the world like a storm. Especially in India, the number of positive cases is rising on a steady basis. Unfortunately, Genelia D’Souza had tested COVID-positive and was in home isolation.

The actress had shared an announcement post on it, which also contained details of her COVID victory. Apart from sickness, a COVID patient has to deal with many issues. With Genelia testing positive without any symptoms, the actress had moved into another flat of theirs and was self-quarantining. In an interview, the actress has now opened up on the most difficult part of her COVID journey.

Talking about her stay in a separate flat and adding that she could have quarantined herself in a separate room in her house itself, Genelia shared with ETimes, “It was very tough to stay alone, not hearing even anybody’s footsteps. It’s terrible to be in surroundings which are not totally to your daily routine and comfort and just sit there doing virtually nothing.”

The actress further stated that her friends kept her cheery via virtual means. Riteish was a hands-on father to their two sons in this difficult time, which Genelia termed as ‘remarkable’. She said that though Riteish was extremely worried, he still braved it. “Riteish is a great husband and father,” shared the actress.
