Gold prices fall by Tk 2,450 per bhori

Gold prices have been lowered by Tk 2,450 per bhori a week after raising the prices by jewellers.
Good quality of gold was sold at Tk 74,008 per bhori on Thursday.
Announcing the lowering of gold prices on Thursday morning, Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) implemented its decision instantly. The BAJUS raised the gold prices by Tk 2,450 per bhori on Friday last. Just after seven days, the association decided lowering the prices.
BAJUS general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwal said the prices of gold have been lowered in the local market owing to lowering the prices in international market. The prices of gold have been fluctuating in the international market over the last several months amid Covid-19 pandemic
When the prices of gold was raised on September 17 last, the per ounce (31.1034768 gram) of gold price in international market was US$1,945. It came down at US$1,858 on Thursday.
