Inauguration and award ceremony of Beanibazar Welfare Trust

Inauguration of Beanibazar Welfare Trust’s new Board of Directors and award ceremony was held in the presence of many eminent people and community leaders on 16 July at the Royal Regency venue, East London. In the beginning of the ceremony, the new Board of Directors were introduced by the outgoing President Muhibur Rahman Muhib. The new Directors are President Delwar Hussain, General Secretary Mahbub Ahmed, Treasurer Dilwar Hussain, Vice Presidents Rahim Uddin, Jahangir Khan, Shahed Ahmed, Alhaj Soaf Uddin, Joint Secretaries Md Shahjahan Khan, Ali Ahmed Bebul, Joint Treasurer Md Sultan Ahmed, Organising Secretary M Masud Ahmed, Press & Publication Secretary Md Imran Ahmed, Education & Cultural Secretary Zahidur Rahman, Social & Welfare Secretary Dilal Ahmed, Office Secretary Zakir Hussain and Youth & Sports Secretary Abdul Hakim Hadi. Other Board of Directors are and Muhibur Rahman Muhib, Alhaj Abdul Shafik, Mamun Rashid, Md Koyes Ahmed and Sadeque Ahmed.
The new Directors were welcomed by distinguished members of the community. In addition, outgoing President Muhibur Rahman Muhib, General Secretary Md Delwar Hossain and Treasurer Mamun Rashid were acknowledged for their successful leadership. On behalf of the new Directors the new President Md Delwar Hossain and Treasurer Dilwar Hossain addressed the event.
British born Bangladeshi boxer Al Safwan Uddin and founder of British Bangladesh Fashion Council Fokhrul Hoque Misfah were honoured with the title of “Pride of Beanibazar” for contribution in their respective fields.
Besides, Joint Secretaries of the Trust, Md Shahjahan Khan and Ali Ahmed Bebul facilitated posthumous honours to two former members Abdul Matlib and Jamal Uddin.
Guests from various community organisations, education trusts, local associations, centres, press clubs, caterers association, local Council and London Assembly also addressed the event. The programme concluded with dinner and a cultural function.
