Janhvi Kapoor, who made an impressive debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak, turned a year older on Sunday (March 6). After winning hearts with her performance in the Hindi remake of Sairat, the star kid went on to feature in films belonging to different genres. The 25-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood in recent times.

Janhvi, who is the daughter of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi, often remained in headlines for her personal life. While the tinsel town diva never spoke about her relationships, she has been linked to two B-town stars in the past.

Janhvi Kapoor, who was seen opposite Ishaan Khatter in her debut film, was said to be dating him. Speculations were rife that the two star kids fell in love while working on the sets of Dhadak. While Ishaan and Janhvi never acknowledged their relationship, gossip mongers suggested that they were a couple.

Janhvi’s half-brother Arjun Kapoor even teased her when the duo made an appearance on Koffee With Karan 6. The Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, while talking to KJo, had said that Ishaan was ‘always around Janhvi’.

When Karan asked Janhvi about the conjecture regarding their relationship, the actress had stated that she was not dating Ishaan. Rumours about their break-up surfaced on the internet in 2020. It was said that the two celebs decided to focus on their career instead of love and parted ways due to professional reasons.

Ishaan is now said to be dating his Khaali Peeli co-star Ananya Panday.

Kartik Aaryan’s ouster from Dostana 2 became the talk of the town last year. Movie buffs were quite excited to see Janhvi and Kartik together in a project after the rumours about their romance surfaced on the internet. However, Karan Johar’s production house issued a statement to inform the fans about Kartik’s exit from the film.

While it was alleged that Kartik was asked to leave Dostana 2 due to his ‘unprofessional behaviour’, there were mumours in the industry that his break-up with Janhvi Kapoor was the main reason behind his ouster from the movie.

Both Kartik and Janhvi never reacted to the rumours about their relationship.
