Raqib Uddin Mandol had assured that the authorities would take steps based on the allegations of BNP over vote-rigging and other said irregularities in the Gazipur City Corporation polls.
“BNP has lodged some complaints with the election commission during the polls and we are taking measures based on the allegations,” the officer said further.
On the Election Day, Hasan Uddin Sarker also alleged that his polling agents were driven out from the polling stations to Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) elections.
“Our agents are being kicked out and arrested from the polling stations,” he said.
Awami League activists have ousted the BNP’s agents from polling stations to the Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) elections with many irregularities in different centres, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi also alleged.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has brought these allegations while addressing a press conference held at the party’s Nayapaltan central headquarters in the capital on Tuesday.
