Kangana Ranaut compares herself to Lata Mangeshkar: ‘never danced in weddings’

The controversial queen Kangana Ranaut has stirred up another controversy by comparing herself to the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. She took to Instagram and shared a video of Asha Bhosle where she talked about how Lata never sang at weddings,  regardless of the money she was offered. Kangana shared that she too, also never performs at private events as it goes against her principles.

In the video, Asha discusses how Lata once turned down a million dollars to perform for two hours at a wedding during her appearance. Lata had even stated that she would reject a five million dollar offer and that every artist should have such principles.

While sharing the video, Kangana wrote in her caption, “Agree!!! Even I never danced in weddings or private parties, even though I have the most popular songs… denied insane amount of money… glad to come across the video… Lata mam was truly so inspiring.”

Kangana only starred in one movie in 2022, “Dhaakad”, which failed to garner audiences to theaters. The movie received negative reviews from critics. Her upcoming film “Emergency” will showcase her as the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Shreyas Talpade, and Bhumika Chawla are among the notable actors who appear in the movie.
