Kangana Ranaut takes another jibe at ‘movie mafias’

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, in a tweet, angrily slammed ‘movie mafias’ and ‘intolerance debate warriors’. The actress also said that she has been given several derogatory titles over the years.
After making her debut on the micro-blogging site Twitter, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been voicing her opinions on various issues. On Sushant Singh Rajput’s on-going death probe, the actress has been constantly sharing her views and inputs through tweets. Earlier, the actress said in a tweet that she feels unsafe in Mumbai and she also said that the city feels like Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. Post which, the actress received a lot of backlash on the internet.
Several politicians also took hits at Kangana for her remarks. But, this hasn’t shaken the actress even a bit. And she has been constantly tweeting about the same. In her latest tweet, she pointed out that she has been given several derogatory titles over the last few years. And she also questioned ‘intolerance debate warriors’ for not speaking about it.
Kangana’s tweet read, “In 2008 Movie Mafia declared me a Psycho, in 2016 they called me a Witch and Stalker in 2020 Maharashtra Minister publicity gave me the title of Haramkhor Ladki, because I said after a murder I feel unsafe in Mumbai, where are INTOLERANCE debate warriors?”
In her previous tweets, she spoke about making films on Maratha pride while taking a jibe at other filmmakers of the industry. She wrote, “All chaploos who are showing their love for Maharashtra must know I am the first Actor/ Director in the history of Hindi Cinema to bring Maratha Pride Shiva Ji Maharaj and Rani LaxmiBai to the big screen and I faced huge opposition during the release from the same people. (sic)”
On the work front, Kangana will be next seen in A. L. Vijay directorial Thalaivi, which is Jayalalithaa’s biopic. The film was expected to hit theatres in June, however, the release got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the theatres open, the film will have a theatrical release.
