Khaleda didn’t give samples for Covid-19 test

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia did not give swab samples for Covid-19 test on Saturday, said her press wing member Shayrul Kabir Khan, quoting her private physician Dr Mamun.

Shayrul Kabir said, “I talked to Dr Mamun. He said they went to Khaleda Zia’s residence ‘Firoza’ at Gulshan for her regular health check-up. They didn’t take samples for Covid-19 test from her.

Khaleda Zia was jailed on February 8, 2018 in a corruption case. After remaining in jail for more than two years, she was released from jail on a six months’ bail on March 25 last year under an executive order of the government. Later, the duration of his bail was raised three times.

At present, Khaleda Zia is staying at her ‘Firoza’ residence at Gulshan in the capital. Except the family members and personal physician, none can meet Khaleda Zia at her residence.
