Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra announce pregnancy
Bollywood’s beloved couple, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, are preparing to experience parenthood for the first time, as they announced their pregnancy on social media this Friday.
Having been married for two years, the couple shared a heartfelt post featuring a photo of baby socks in their hands, along with the caption, “The most precious gift of our lives. Arriving soon.”
Celebrities and friends of the couple filled the comments section with congratulatory messages. Shilpa Shetty expressed her excitement, writing, “Awwwwww, congratulations!” Rakul Preet Singh enthusiastically commented, “Omggggggg, congratulations, guys! So, so happy.” Meanwhile, Ekta Kapoor playfully added, “Get ready for sleepless nights!”
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot in February 2023 in Rajasthan after dating for several years. Their first meeting took place at a party following the completion of Kiara’s shoot for “Lust Stories”.
During an appearance on Koffee with Karan, Kiara shared that Sidharth proposed to her at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Rome. She recalled, “He planned everything perfectly—a candlelight dinner, a romantic setting. After dinner, we went for a walk, and suddenly, a violinist appeared from the bushes, playing music. His little nephew was secretly recording the moment from behind the bushes. Then, Sidharth got down on one knee and proposed. I was completely caught off guard and so overwhelmed that I couldn’t say anything at first.”
Kiara continued, “After finishing his speech, he seemed unsure of what to say next and ended up reciting lines from Shershaah. He said, ‘I am an innocent boy from Delhi,’ and went on to repeat his entire dialogue from the movie. That’s when I couldn’t help but burst into laughter.”
She also shared that since Sidharth’s family was with them, they had the opportunity to celebrate together, which they considered the “best part” of the moment. Soon after, they called Kiara’s parents and Karan Johar to share the news.
