The promotions for Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha are gathering pace with each passing day. The film marks Aamir’s return to the big screen after almost four years as he was last seen in Thugs Of Hindustan in 2018.
Laal Singh Chaddha is extremely close to Aamir’s heart, and as is now known by everyone, it took him 14 long years to make the film. Going by Aamir’s reputation of a perfectionist, it is obvious that he put in extra effort in each and every department of the film, including its music and background score.
Composer Tanuj Tiku, in a recent interview, shared some inside details about the film’s score. He revealed that as many as 150 people worked on the score for Laal Singh Chaddha. Well, Aamir is certainly setting new standards!

While speaking to a leading daily, Tanuj talked about the brief that was given to him and his team and the time it took to put everything together. “It was a slice-of-life film. Aamir sir likes Panchgani, which is why we worked there with a bunch of musicians. We played live, jammed together, and created the thematic music there. Within two weeks, all the thematic material and character motifs were readied,” Tanuj said.
“The story is beautiful, and we wanted the score to complement it. The harmonic language and the simplicity of the character is at the film’s core. There are musical layers that help narrate the story. Over 150 people have worked on the score, including 75 musicians from the orchestra,” he added.
