Late Anupam Shyam’s brother claims Aamir Khan stopped picking their calls after assuring help

The film industry recently lost one of its finest actors, Anupam Shyam. The 63-year old, who was famous for playing a pivotal role in TV show Mann Kee Awaaz: Pratigya among many other successful films, breathed his last on Monday (August 09) following multiple organ failure. He was on dialysis since many years time to severe kidney infection.
A day after Anupam Shyam’s unfortunate demise, his brother Anurag spoke to a news channel and shared how his ailing brother had tried reaching out to many people including Aamir Khan. For the uninitiated, Anupam had worked with Aamir in Lagaan. However, the Bollywood superstar stopped picking up calls, claims Anupam’s brother.
“Our family has been facing a lot. My mother died last month. Anupam was shocked that he could not go to Pratapgarh (where their mom stayed). Without a dialysis centre in the town, going there would have been a major health risk for Anupam. We urged for a dialysis centre in Pratapgarh and Anupam even went to Aamir Khan for the same. Aamir Khan gave us the assurance but stopped picking our calls after a few months”, said Anurag’s brother in interaction with Aaj Tak.
Aamir Khan hasn’t issued any statement on Anupam Shyam’s death as yet. He is not even on any social media platform. It’s left to see if the actor issues a clarification, now that Anupam Shyam’s brother has made a remark on him.
Last year, Anurag had told PTI that Shyam was undergoing dialysis and was shifted to the Goregaon hospital after he collapsed during his dialysis.
