Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata enters 2 million dollar club at US box-office

Mahesh Babu continues to rock the US market with his films as his latest release Sarkaru Vaari Paata has managed to breach the $2 million club in its opening weekend, despite the film garnering mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.

The makers on Monday released an official poster to announce that the film has collected over $2 million in the US and counting.

Industry tracker Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to share the poster.

As per trade sources, the film is rumoured to have grossed over Rs 150 crore worldwide in its opening weekend. However, the makers are yet to officially announce the numbers

Directed by Parasuram, the film marked the maiden collaboration between Mahesh Babu and director Parasuram. In the movie, Mahesh plays a loan agent. It’s the first time Mahesh and Keerthy Suresh have teamed up for a project.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which has been co-produced by Mahesh Babu, is the second Telugu film after Saaho to be presented with Twitter emoji.

Meanwhile, Mahesh will soon commence his work on his next yet-untitled Telugu project with filmmaker Trivikram. Pooja Hegde has been signed as the female lead.
