Maximum Tk 75,000 free healthcare for freedom fighters

Heroic freedom fighters will now get free medical services up to a maximum of Tk 75,000 from 22 hospitals in the country, according to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) renewed on Thursday.
The services include doctor’s advice, various tests, medicine, bed, and nursing services.
Liberation War Affairs secretary Khwaja Mia and Health Services Division senior secretary Lokman Hossain Miah signed the MoU on behalf of the respective institutions held at the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
The MoU will remain in force for the next five years.
Earlier in 2018, the MoU was signed between the two institutions for three years.

The 22 specialized hospitals where the heroic freedom fighters will receive treatment services are:

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital, Dhaka Medical College & Hospital, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College & Hospital, National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital, National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, National Institute of Kidney Diseases & Urology, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, National Institute of Ophthalmology, National Institute of Chest Disease and Hospital, National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital, National Institute Of Mental Health, Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialized Hospital, Khulna, Sheikh Fazilatunesa Mujib Eye Hospital & Training Institute, Gopalgonj, Chittagong Medical College Hospital, Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, Rangpur Medical College Hospital, Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, Barisal, National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh, and Dhaka and BIRDEM General Hospital.
