MC College gang rape: Probe body submits report to HC

The probe body formed to investigate the incident of gang rape of a young woman on Sylhet MC College campus submitted its report to the High Court on Tuesday.
The committee submitted the 176-page report to a virtual bench of Justice Md Mozibur Rahman Miah and Justice Md Mohiuddin Shamim through the HC Registrar Md Golam Rabbani around 11am.
The court, however, fixed November 1 for hearing on the issue.
Earlier on September 29, the HC formed the committee to conduct an investigation into the rape incident.
On September 25, a young woman was gang raped allegedly by several BCL activists at MC College while visiting there with her husband.
The BCL men forcibly took the couple to the college hostel at Tilagarh area at about 8:30pm, tying the husband and raped the wife.
