Metro rail to start plying on Agargaon-Uttara route on V-Day

The much-hyped country’s first-ever metro rail service, will be launched on the Agargaon-Uttara route on December 16, the Victory Day.

Planning Minister MA Mannan informed this while visiting the city’s Uttara Metro rail depot on Wednesday.

“A total of 11.73 km of the metro rail is from Agargaon to Uttara having nine stations. Currently 11 kilometer viaduct on the route has become visible. We expect the to start its operation on the Victory Day,” he said.
