Mizanur Rahman Aryan wins Best Director

Acclaimed director Mizanur Rahman Aryan took home the Best Director Award for his work on “Unish20” in the Critics category at the “Blender’s Choice The Daily Star OTT and Digital Content Awards 2023”, held tonight.

The award was presented to Aryan in recognition of his outstanding contribution to digital content. Aryan, who started his career in 2012 with tele-fictions, has become a household name in Bangladesh’s entertainment industry. He first made waves in 2017 with “Boro Chele,” which remains one of the most viewed Bangladeshi television productions on YouTube. Since then, his career has been marked by both critical acclaim and popular success, with recent projects like “Hello Shunchen” and “Not Out” receiving widespread praise.

Aryan’s first feature film, “Networker Baire,” featuring a star-studded cast including Khairul Bashar, Nazia Haque Orsha, Tasnia Farin, Yash Rohan, Nazifa Tushi, Sariful Islam Razz has received significant acclaim amongst viewers.

Aryan’s impressive body of work includes notable projects such as “Mr and Mrs,” “Angry Bird,” “Kothopokothon,” “Buker Ba Pashe,” and “Batch 27.” His web productions have also earned him critical acclaim, with “Unish20,” “Punormilone,” and “Networker Baire” standing out as fan favorites on streaming platforms.
