The coronavirus pandemic isn’t over yet. While everything was getting back to normal slowly, we saw a sudden rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. This has led to things getting back to the same way we had in early days of 2021. Recently, we had heard of so many celebrities getting infected and urging people to stay safe.
This rise in the number of coronavirus cases has also affected the movie business. The theatres were previously shut down in 2020 and that had affected the movie business. Many of the movies were released on OTT platforms and people had started missing the theatres. In 2021, the theatres opened and things were a bit normal but now everything looks sad.
With the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, the makers of big films like Jersey, RRR and Bheemla Nayak have pushed the release dates of the film. Here’s a look at the details:
Jersey

Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur’s film, Jersey, was supposed to release on December 31, 2021, but later decided to postpone the release. In an official statement, the makers shared, “In view of the current circumstances and new covid guidelines we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our film Jersey. We have received immense love from you all so far and want to thank you all for everything. Until then everyone please stay safe and healthy, and wishing you all the best for the new year ahead!! Team Jersey!!”
RRR

Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s RRR is one the most awaited movies. People have been eagerly waiting for the movie to released ever since the makers had announced the film. RRR was supposed to release on January 7 but they, too, have pushed the release of the film indefinitely. This big change was announced on the official Twitter account of RRR film. “Keeping the best interests of all the involved parties in mind, we are forced to postpone our film. Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love #RRRPPostopened #RRRMovie,” the tweet read.
