Lady Superstar Nayanthara is one of the most loved actresses in the South Indian film industry today. She was recently seen in Tamil comedy Mookuthi Amman, jointly directed by actor RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan. The movie received good response from the audience.

Now, the actress is said to have been roped in for upcoming Tamil biopic, based on the life of Queen Velu Nachiyar, as per several reports. However, the actress has denied that she is part of any such movie. Nayanthara’s team on Wednesday refuted reports of her playing the lead role in a biopic based on the life of Rani Velu Nachiyar.

A statement from the PR team of the actress says, “Certain news stating that Nayanthara is a part of period film based on the life of Queen Velu Nachiyar has been circulating in some sections of the media. Ms Nayanthara categorically denies such a movie and we voice her opinion on the same to the media. This is a baseless rumour and on behalf of our client we request the media to verify the facts before publishing. Verification is just a call or message or mail away(Sic).”
