Platinum Jubilee: William and Kate at Cardiff show rehearsal
GBNews24 Desk//
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have attended concert rehearsals in Cardiff Castle as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The royal couple were joined by Prince George and Princess Charlotte in their first official visit to Wales.
Saturday’s concert line up includes newly-appointed MBE Bonnie Tyler, John Owen-Jones and young performers.
Prince William and Catherine also met the crew and learnt more about the technical production.
Director Richard Perry called it a great opportunity for the performers.
For her first official visit to Wales, Princess Charlotte, seven, wore a navy frock coat and blue Mary Jane shoes with white ankle socks. She smiled and held Kate’s hand as the duchess waved to well-wishers.
Prince George, eight, who is one day expected to be given the title the Prince of Wales, joined his family as they chatted to crowds of royal fans.
He was seen grinning, wearing a mini-me version of his father’s blue suit and open-necked shirt.
Four-year-old Prince Louis was missing from the family visit.

Saturday afternoon’s concert will see stage performers, choirs, bands, and a full orchestra come together, hosted by Aled Jones and Shan Cothi.
Organiser Live Under the Stars has partnered with Shelter Cymru as official charity partner of the event, one of many in Wales for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The royal couple met performers including BBC weather presenter and drummer Owain Wyn Evans, Rubicon Dance Company and the Wales Youth Choir for Good before the concert.
They also met the crew, before helping with some of the final preparations for the event.
