Mani Ratnam’s historical epic Ponniyin Selvan: 1 seems to have gotten an absolutely great start and after its release on Friday, the movie has most definitely managed to become a hit. The film has not just made big numbers in the country, but also overseas and that, has pushed the box office figures for worldwide numbers to a whopping Rs 80 Crore. To note, this is, in fact, the biggest opening for a Tamil film.
