Prime Video cryptically delivers ‘Mirzapur’ Season 3 release date

Prime Video officially announces the release date for the highly anticipated Season 3 of the popular Indian series “Mirzapur”.

Initially crafted by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, the crime thriller “Mirzapur” delves into a narrative rich with themes of power, revenge, ambition, politics, betrayal, deceit, and intricate family dynamics within the rugged landscapes of northern India.

To make things interesting, Prime Video shared a caricature of the show’s main characters in a recent post, accompanied by a note indicating that the release date of ‘Mirzapur 3’ is concealed within the image itself.

This sparked a guessing game among fans of the show, who began deciphering clues within the photo. While many speculated the release date to be July 7, others leaned towards August 7.

Season 3, comprising 10 episodes, is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Media and Entertainment. It is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer.

The ensemble cast features Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik, and Manu Rishi Chadha.

The upcoming season’s screenplay has been penned by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann, Avinash Singh Tomar, Avinash Singh, and Vijay Narayan Verma.

In a statement, Prime Video hinted at all that is to come, “With Season 3, the stakes have gone notches higher and the canvas has become bigger. However, the rules remain the same while all eyes are on the coveted throne in the fictional world of Mirzapur. The big question prevails whether the throne of Mirzapur will be earned or snatched in a battle of power and dominance where trust is a luxury that no one can afford.”
