Prince Mahmud’s composition features Tahsan and Atiya Anisha

Tahsan and rising star Atiya Anisha have collaborated on a playback song for the upcoming film, “Jongli”. Titled “Jonmo Jonmo”, the duet has been composed and written by legendary Prince Mahmud, with musical arrangement by Imran Mahmudul.

As per the artistes, the song is set to be released on this upcoming Valentine’s Day.

Tahsan shared his excitement with the local media, stating, “Prince Mahmud is one of my most beloved figures in the industry. His lyricism and compositions have a distinct charm that sets them apart. I have had the opportunity to sing songs written and composed by him in various albums before. This time, I got the chance to do a playback. I believe that just as my previous album songs have resonated with listeners, ‘Jonmo Jonmo’ from ‘Jongli’ will make its mark as well.”

The singer further mentioned that after a long break from playback singing — his last being for the film “Chhuye Dile Mon” — he is making his return to playback under the guidance of Prince Mahmud.

On the other hand, Atiya Anisha described working with legendary composer Prince Mahmud as an unforgettable experience. “I grew up listening to his timeless songs, and getting the opportunity to do a playback under his composition is truly an honour. Alongside singing, I also had the chance to learn a lot from him,” she said.

The artiste further added, “Another wonderful aspect of this project is collaborating with Tahsan Khan as my co-singer and having Imran to form the music arrangement for ‘Jonmo Jonmo’. Altogether, this has been a memorable milestone in my career, and I hope listeners will enjoy it as much as we did.”

Apart from “Jonmo Jonmo”, Prince Mahmud has composed three other songs for the upcoming film “Jongli”. “For the first time in my long musical career, I have composed all the songs for a film. Although I had taken on a similar project for another film before ‘Jongli’, its release has been delayed. So, ‘Jongli’ might be the first film where all the songs are composed by me,” he shared.

He further added, “All the playback singers have given their best performances, and as a composer, I have also put in my utmost effort. The result is a collection of remarkable songs.”
