Priyanka Chopra is super proud as her NY restaurant Sona turns a year old, says, ‘My heart and stomach is full’

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, who’s now a global star, stays connected to her roots despite the distance. Even in Los Angeles, Bollywood’s very own Desi Girl finds a way to celebrate the culture. From attending pre-Oscars event in six yards of grace to performing pujas on festivals and more, she often wins hearts online for the same. Last year, she had surprised her fans by announcing that she has opened an Indian restaurant in New York City, called Sona. Today, her eatery turned a year old and the actress couldn’t be more proud!

On Sunday, Priyanka Chopra took to her social media handle to share a heartwarming note in which she spoke about how Sona was an attempt to introduce Indian food to the West. She also thanked New Yorkers and her team members for their love and support. Along with the not, PeeCee shared a video montage of some pictures from the restaurant.

“What started for me as another way to introduce modern India to the west, turned into an incredibly fun, cool, and awesome spot in the heart of NYC where you can let your hair down and explore culinary delights and cocktails that are so synonymous with us. As Sona turns a year old today, I couldn’t be more proud,” she wrote.
