Actress Priyanka Chopra, who’s called a global star, often makes Indians feel proud by glorifying the country’s rich heritage. Recently, she launched her new Indian homeware lineup, named Sona Home. In her announcement post, PeeCee had shared a heart-touching message about how the brand would help her bring a “piece of India” once again to America, her second home.
However, days after the launch, Sona Home has come under fire for its ‘ridiculously’ expensive products. As per the brand’s official site, one of the table cloths costs Rs 30, 612. Meanwhile, a set of four dinner napkins is priced at Rs 13, 284. Items like plates, serving bowls, saucers and tea cups fall in the range of 3.5k-8k.

This has left a section of the internet irked and they have slammed Priyanka’s brand. Some users even took jibes at the actress.
Calling out Priyanka’s brand, a Reddit user wrote, “Why does a napkin set cost more than the Lamps? $168 Napkins vs $98 Lamps? Maybe the lights from the lamps are set to dull by default so that the guests don’t see how sh*t the $168 napkins look.”
