Public life in danger due to indifference of govt: Fakhrul

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that people’s lives are put in danger due to the government’s indifference and incompetence.
The party’s secretary general made the comment after visiting the grave of BNP founder late President Ziaur Rahman after Eid prayers on Wednesday morning.
Fakhrul said, “People’s lives are in danger in Bangladesh at the moment due to the indifference and incompetence of this government. We visit the grave here today and pray to the most merciful Allah to save us from this terrible pandemic that has endangered the entire human race, may Allah forgive the people of this country and free them from this terrible pandemic.”
Referring to the Eid celebrations, Mirza Fakhrul said, “We are celebrating Eid-ul-Azha at a time when our chairperson, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, who has sacrificed her life for the welfare of the people of this country and worked for democracy, is imprisoned today. The acting chairman of our party is in exile.”
Mirza Fakhrul called on everyone to wear masks to prevent coronavirus, saying, “I urge you all to keep your social distance, wear masks and try to keep yourself safe.”
