Rain likely over country next three days

Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur over the country during the next three days, according to a forecast by Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

In its forecast, the Met Office said rain and thundershowers with temporary gusty or squally wind at many places over the eight divisions of the country are likely to occur during the next three days.

“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places,” BMD said in a bulletin.

Meanwhile, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.

The country’s maximum temperature was recorded on Thursday at 35.0 degrees Celsius in Rangamati and the minimum temperature of 20.6 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in the Rangpur division.

The sun sets at 6:30pm today and rises at 5:21am on Friday in Dhaka.
